About us

Nomad Reykjavík opened in 2018 and has stood on the same corner of Laugavegur and Frakkastígur ever since. The store is run by Ingimar and Halla Líf, a small family company with a simple aim: a selection of gifts you won’t find elsewhere, at prices that make sense.

We chose the name Nomad because it describes us. A nomad is a wanderer, and that’s how we’ve lived, through the travels, the surfing and the time spent in nature, much of it captured in Ingimar’s photography over the years. That background shapes the selection on our shelves. We choose products that bring joy and color into everyday life and nudge toward a healthier way of living: books of all kinds, jewelry making, toys that pull kids away from screens, and plenty more.

In the store you’ll find books, candles, jewelry and skincare alongside homeware, decorations and fun gifts for all ages. Since 2023 we have also made our own jewelry, Tíbrá by nomad, along with other designs of ours that are now carried by stores around Iceland and a few abroad.
